Linen & Leather Trays

These trays are made by hand in a small Florentine workshop by Paolo Carandini. The leather bases are vegetable-dyed Tuscan leather, worked to a shine with a brunitoio.

The surrealistic fabric was designed by Stig Lindberg (one of Sweden's most important postwar designers) in 1947, and is hand-printed in Sweden on dirt-repellent linen. Each corner is tied with a small red piece of leather.
